Welcome to County Longford Show & Country Fair Web Site!
In 1902 the very first County Longford Agricultural show was held. This tradition has been carried on down through the years to the present day when, in recognition of changing times the show has been renamed the County Longford Show and Country Fair.
Alongside the usual agricultural classes for horses, ponies, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, show jumping and craft exhibits, this years show will provide a wide range of trade stands with exhibitions and demonstrations from a diverse range of people. The Irish Countrywomens Association will also have a tented area where you can relax with a nice cup of tea and some homemade bakes ! An important part of our show is field entertainment for families and children alike which include a display from Longford Vintage Club, Devines Pet World, Hedge Laying, Bee Keeping, Granard County Market, Wild life display, Miniature horses, Potato races, Bouncy castles and a wide variety of trade stands, music, bus eireann safety bus, and loads more to see and do.
